About Port Jatki restaurant

Who's behind the restaurant, and where we get our fish, wine and beer.

About us

Michał, Tomek and Hubert

We've known each other for over 25 years, since studying PE in Bydgoszcz. Michał spent years as a head chef in England. We've been running restaurants together since 2016, and on Jatki for years now.

Port Jatki is a return to what this street was at the start: produce from makers we know personally, craft in the kitchen and honest work. We refine the menu together with Hubert, our head chef, and the whole kitchen, around one pan.

Michał Żakowicz

Head chef in England for years. Has run restaurants with Tomek since 2016.

Tomek Kamiński

Co-host. A great lover of food; when he travels, he looks for places where they cook well. He and Michał have known each other since studying PE in Bydgoszcz.

Hubert Wiśniewski

Head chef at Port Jatki. He has cooked in renowned restaurants for more than 10 years.

A dish only goes on the menu once it stops changing.

We drink it with fish and add it to the batter we fry our cod in.

We buy wine the way we buy fish: from the person who made it, after tasting it on the spot.
